Academician Yin Yulong

Yinlong Yu, a first-level researcher, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a "hundred-person plan candidate" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Honorary Deputy Chairman of the Animal Nutrition Laboratory Group of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Poultry Pollution Control and Resource Technology, Director of the Trace Elements and Food Chain Branch of the Chinese Agricultural Society, Deputy Director of the National New Feed Evaluation Committee and China Feed Industry Association Vice Chairman, Chairman of the National Pig Industry Technology and Entrepreneurship Strategic Alliance, Vice Chairman of Hunan Science and Technology Association, and Standing Committee Member of Hunan Provincial CPPCC.


He has long been engaged in the research of healthy breeding and environmental control of livestock and poultry, and has presided over the completion of more than 30 scientific research projects of the institute, the province, the country, and the world. He has achieved outstanding results in animal and poultry green breeding technology, efficient utilization of unconventional feed ingredients, and waste reduction and control in the breeding process. He led the team to publish more than 400 papers included in SCI, of which more than 6,000 cited by internationally renowned magazines, with an H index of 51, were selected. Thomson Reuters 2014 and 2015 Global Highly Cited Scientists and China Citation Laureate Award; Editor-in-Chief of 8 monographs in Chinese and English; first-time finisher won three National Science and Technology Progress Awards and one National Natural Science Award.


Academician Yin's team also carried out research on nutrient metabolism and regulation mechanism and functional foods of amino acids, peptides, polyalkanols and carbohydrates; the extraction process of rice bran fatty alkanols (Pritol) and its role in regulating blood esters.
